United Airlines runs these promotions from time to time and the bonuses typically range between 50% to 100%. The maximum number of miles a member can purchase each year is 150,000 (inclusive of bonus miles). Miles are priced at USD 35 per 1,000 block and there is a tax recovery fee of 7.5%. As an example, buying 30,000 MileagePlus Miles will cost USD 1,128.75 (inclusive of tax recovery fee) and under this promotion, you will get 51,000 Miles (70% more miles).
