Earn More Miles on Top of Credit Card Points with Mileslife - up to 9 Miles per Dollar MORE on Dining!

A couple of months ago, I introduced Mileslife which is an app to help you earn more miles (on top of the regular miles and points you earn with your credit cards) on everyday lifestyle spending like dining, hotels and spa packages (just to name a few). If you have been accruing miles in Singapore via credit card spend, you should definitely consider using Mileslife for dining since you will earn at least 1 mile per dollar extra on top of your credit card points at participating merchants. In fact, some merchants offer up to 3 miles per dollar and if you were to combine it with the triple miles promotion that is running until 20 June 2017, you can easily be earning up to 9 miles extra per dollar (on top of your credit card) on your dining spends. Sign-up for Mileslife now and use my referral code 'SHUTTERWHALE' to get 1,500 bonus miles (with any participating Frequent Flyer Program of your choice) after spending S$39. Link your FPP to your Mileslife account before 30 June 2017 to get an additional 100 bonus miles - completing both would get you 1,600 bonus miles!

Using Mileslife is extremely easy and instead of handing your credit card over physically when getting the bill at a participating restaurant, you simply tell the waiter or waitress that you wish to pay using Mileslife - the participating establishments would have already trained their staff to be proficient at this so there should not be any hiccup at all. Once you have done that, you may proceed to enter the final bill amount into your Mileslife app and pay for the meal via an online portal - since the HSBC Advance Visa Platinum Credit Card is officially dead as of today, you will benefit the most from using the DBS Woman's World MasterCard for 20 miles per S$5.

Earn up to 9 Miles per Dollar at Cassia (Capella Singapore) with Mileslife!

Update: Merchant Category Code is currently listed as Professional Services - this may not give you 4 miles per dollar on your DBS WMC.

Essentially, if you go to a participating restaurant like Cassia in Capella Singapore, you can earn up to 3 miles per S$1 on dining spend - there is also a triple miles promotion running right now so that equates to a whooping 9 miles per S$1 spent. To put it very simply, a S$300 dining bill at Cassia would give you 3,900 miles (assuming you are using the DBS WMC and the transaction is correctly processed as an eligible charge) and the sign-up bonus of 1,600 miles would apply - this gives you a grand total of 5,500 miles for something that would probably not qualify under the dining category (e.g. restaurants in hotels).

To truly understand how Mileslife works, I highly recommend giving my previous article a read - this encapsulates everything you need to know about earning more miles with lifestyle spends in Singapore and China. Do note that transactions are currently categorised as an international transaction so an overseas cross-border fee of 0.8% may apply - small price to pay for more miles!
